Tribute to Jack In The Box

Yes, I love Jack-In-The-Box beaucoup (= a lot in French). This is a big deal, because I don't eat that much drive-thru food. I am usually a pretty healthy food selector. However, I cannot resist the CIABATTA goodness. Mmmm. Spicy curly fries, bacon & sirloin cheeseburgers. There is one about every two miles here in Mesa, so I'm always being so TEMPTED.
My family doesn't believe me that this food is so tasty, and with good reason. Once upon a time there was a JITB (nope, I'm never making that into an acronym again) in my hometown. This was like the mid 80's, so how could we really remember? Then someone got poisoned by Jack's burgers in Washington state or somewhere. The business took a huge hit and Americans everywhere found other places to get fat. As a result, that Fort Collins, CO location closed. Now, there is only one Jack in the the whole state of Colorado (and no where near them). Check out the nationwide map. Looks like there's a couple in Utah now, but far from Happy Valley.
Anyway, don't forget the awesome chicken sandwiches, tacos, and wildly underrated ice cream/shakes/sundaes. And from personal experience, just know that breakfast is very appetizing. I've got three words for you. French Toast Sticks. I'm usually a person who knows his favorite 2-3 things at every restaurant, and I change between them. But when Jack calls, I need a minute to decide what my next culinary adventure will be.
My shameless plug will now end.
In other news, I'm working on Spanish for 30 minutes to an hour each day. I've been reading Book of Mormon passages out loud to work on my accent, studying Vamos al Dentista (Let's Go to the Dentist), listening to the Coffee Break Spanish podcast on iTunes, and getting tutor help from a friend who went on a Spanish-speaking mission. I hope to be conversationally adequate be the end of 2008. So, help me out, and I'll teach you any French you wanna learn along the way.

You can combine all that and just listen to a spanish version of the Book of Mormon on your ipod.
For years I was in the dark about how good JITB was because someone got dead. But I have to agree, if you are going to eat fast food its the place to go. Especially of you like diarrhea, because all fast food will give you that. But it's worth it.
